HYUNDAI TUCSON IS AMONG THE SAFEST SMALL SUVS

July 14, 2016

Hyundai’s Tucson is no stranger to awards, with safety recognitions being among its highest accolades. Now, Tucson has earned distinction as the only vehicle in the small SUV category to receive good ratings for both driver and passenger in the latest small-overlap crash-rating test hosted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)!

It’s no surprise the Tucson is one of the safest small SUVs on the road for 2016 with its suite of amazing advanced safety features including AEB with pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Backup Warning Sensors and standard rear-view camera. Plus, the addition of advanced high-strength steel representing over 50% of Tucson’s structure really bolsters the vehicles crash safety.

The Tucson was designed to deliver its passengers with multiple protective safety layers. The A-pillar and mirror blind spots were reduced for enhanced driver visibility. The steel uni-body has integrated crumple zones and a high-tensile front sub-frame engineered to function together to reduce the forces that typically reach the passenger compartment. All doors also feature internal guard beams to safeguard passengers in the event of a side-impact collision.

At Thornhill Hyundai, we are excited to offer our customers one of the safest vehicles available! Stop in for a test drive today.
